Recovery coming in 2010?
Many feel the worst is over, as Sr. Editor at TheMLS.org I would concur. As an example, in many areas of Southern California once hard hit with massive drops in property values, the inventory has actually gone down for the past 90 days and continues to do so. Normally, at this time of year we see the inventory increasing, even in 1999-2005 the inventory would go up beginning in March. This year it has done the opposite it has gone down continuously over the past 3 months. It is highly doubtful that many areas of Southern California will see inventory levels the same as the summer of 2008. 2009 seen by many as the transition year will be over in 6 months, what lies ahead for 2010 is unpredictable but personally I see price appreciation taking place by this time next year.
